"Jake" is a 2000 bay AQHA gelding. He stands 15hh and is a grandson of Sunfrost. He's very well built and has a nice rear end. He is patterned on barrels and is coming along nicely. He has the potential to be a top barrel horse. He is generally pretty calm, but will definitely get up and go when asked. I did a lot of slower work with him in 2009 and first part of 2010, but was picking up the pace by August. We did a lot of loping circles, hind end exercises, and working on leg cues. He walks calmly in and out of the arena...even after a run. No gate issues. Jake has a sweet disposition and aims to please. He also trail rides and has done some team penning and sorting events. He is very athletic and works well off his hind end. Jake has fallen in the 1D and 2D, and has won some money in just a few times out being shown. He's showing tremendous promise to be a top 1D barrel horse. He is 100% sound!
